Today’s Post by Mark Wagner
I am a magician and graphic designer and have a background in Hypnosis. But I’ve been into photography since I was 9 years old (I’ll be 53 on my next birthday.)
I shot this image to be used as cover art for a book for magicians in the Denver market that is going to be self published. I originally shot the photograph in my living room (right) using a Panasonic Lumix G7 and an on camera flash that was bounced off the ceiling. I used a high ISO to add texture to the image to make it look more gritty. Lens was a Lumix G Vario 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 II ASPH Mega OIS, set at 37mm. Exposure was 1/50 sec at f/5.5 and ISO 3200
The background of the image is made from two different images from Pixabay. One image was of the interior of a nightclub and, since everyone in the photo was facing AWAY from the camera, I used a second image of a crowd who were facing forward and I cut and pasted a few faces from this image and pasted it into the night club picture. I made this image super saturated to help make the image more vibrant and alive with excitement!
