Writers & Photographers Wanted for the Blog

Today’s Post by Joe Farace, photo by Mildred Alpern.

If you reading this blog regularly and are passionate about mirrorless photography, we would like you consider submitting  photographs or writing a blog post (or two) for us.

You don’t have to be a professional photographer or writer to contribute. You could, for instance simply submit an image through our new Wordless Wednesday feature and maybe even win a prize if your image gets lots of page views.

Or you could submit a “How I Made…” story in which you show an image and tell how and why you made it, mentioning the camera and lens used and maybe exposure if you’d like to share that information. Another approach is the “Hidden Gems” format where you talk about a piece of gear you can’t live without. Requirements are simple: About 350 words or so and two or three photographs (verticals take the most space) at 800 pixels along the longest side. If you’re interested or have any questions, click the Contact button or e-mail me at joefarace(at)gmail dot com.

We’re especially looking for photographers shooting Sony and Fuji mirrorless cameras because posts about them are sometimes underrepresented here. But if you shoot with Olympus or Panasonic Micro Four-thirds gear, we’d still like to hear from you. We’re not looking for fanboys who want to write about how much better their camera is than everybody else’s. We’re also not looking for employees or representatives of companies trying to sell their products; we’ll be glad to write a review of your product or sell you an ad at very affordable prices.

We can’t guarantee that sending your photographs or blog posts we will make you famous but we will promise that more than 30,000 people worldwide will see your photographs and read what you have to say. Like the rest of us, there’s no payment for your efforts but if you have a website, book, studio or anything else you would like to promote we’re glad to help. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
