New Puzzle Photoshop Actions

Panos FX has just released an update to his popular product, the Puzzle Effects” Photoshop actions He’s added four new effects, that are available both in the 2D & 3D versions:

  • The Hexagon
  • 9 identical pieces
  • 15 identical pieces’
  • 24 pieces – classic style

Overall, the 2D & 3D action sets create 27 different effects each. In addition, the 3D actions include the beautiful “Puzzle sphere.”

The “Puzzle Effects” Photoshop actions ($17.47) will turn your photographs into jigsaw puzzles. The product includes two action sets, that create 2D and 3D puzzles respectively. Each set contains two categories of effects:

  1. The “Classic” puzzles. These puzzles look exactly like the real jigsaw puzzles: each hand-drawn piece is unique.
  2. The “Special” puzzles. These puzzles are more creative: from puzzle hearts and gears to open edges, circular, or hexagonal puzzles.

The 2D actions set contains 11 classic and 16 creative puzzle effects. Each puzzle piece is actually an individual layer. This allows you to move, rotate, or even hide individual pieces, or groups of pieces. The 3D actions harness the full 3D power of Photoshop. The 3D set contains the same 27 effects available in the 2D set, plus an amazing puzzle sphere! The Elements version ($14.09) contains 2D actions only, since 3D is not available in PSE. Even though the actions area affordable, there’s a free version that lacks many of the features of the software but that will let you try out the actions with your pown photographs to see if you like them.

To download the latest versions, please follow these steps:

  1. Login to PanosFX.com
  2. Select CUSTOMERS > Control Panel, from the site’s main menu.
  3. Click on “Show the downloads
